Born in Yorkshire, Jayne went to Hull University before working as a journalist on local and regional newspapers.
She began freelancing after marrying and moving to Scotland. She also trained as a yoga teacher and taught yoga for more than ten years. About four years ago, she came across the untold story of lost aviator, Elsie Mackay, which resulted in her first book, "West Over the Waves". She is the mother of three children.
Jayne is the author of the non fiction book's 'West Over the Waves - The Final Flight of Elsie Mackay', 'Mary Timney - Road to the Gallows', and multiple children's books. She was the editor and a contributor to the Wigtown Women's Walk anthology 'Singing Over the Bones.' She has written a children's story about an adventurous mouse aimed at the 6 to 8 age group and is currently looking for a publisher.
